MUMBAI - Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor has shared a distressing account of falling victim to 'deepfake' technology during her school days. In a recent podcast, she revealed that she was left traumatized after discovering morphed, explicit images of herself on an adult website during an IT class at school.

The actress clarified that the content was entirely AI-generated and fake, but the experience forced her to realize the dark side of fame at a very young age. Janhvi expressed grave concern over the rise of AI-generated misinformation, noting that even reputable news platforms sometimes unknowingly share fabricated videos of her as authentic.

She emphasized that this issue affects many public figures and warned that such technology could be used by industry professionals to exploit or pressure actors in the future. Janhvi called for urgent ethical guidelines and digital consent laws to curb the misuse of modern technology.
