KP Imposes New Business Hours; Markets to Close Early

PESHAWAR - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has issued a notification restricting business hours across the province. According to the new orders, markets in Peshawar and all divisional headquarters will close by 9 PM, while shops in other districts must shut down by 8 PM.

Restaurants and food outlets are required to close by 10 PM, though home delivery and takeaway services remain permitted. Similarly, wedding halls and marquees must conclude all events by 10 PM.

Medical stores, hospitals, and emergency services are exempt from these restrictions. Additionally, agricultural, construction, and industrial units are allowed to continue operations as usual. Tandoors will remain open specifically for the preparation and sale of bread, while petrol pumps will be restricted to fuel supply only.
