Defense Cooperation: PAF Contingent Arrives in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH - A contingent of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), comprising fighter and support aircraft, has arrived at King Abdulaziz Air Base as part of the Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement (SMDA).

According to the Saudi Ministry of Defense, the deployment aims to bolster military ties, enhance operational readiness, and promote regional stability between the two brotherly nations.

This strategic move follows the historic defense pact signed in September 2025 by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and PM Shehbaz Sharif. The agreement stipulates that any aggression against one country will be considered an attack on both.

In light of the current Middle East situation, this deployment underscores the commitment of both nations to joint defense and mutual security.
