World Leaders Hail Pakistan’s Role in US-Iran Truce

 

ISLAMABAD - Global and regional powers have highly commended Pakistan's successful mediation in securing a two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran. Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar issued statements praising the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for averting a major regional crisis.

The UK’s Foreign Secretary, Yvette Cooper, and China’s Foreign Ministry also welcomed the truce, highlighting that the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is vital for global trade and energy security. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan hailed Pakistan as a "brotherly nation" for its tireless peace efforts.
